Made with Xara Curtain Raisers are a well-established local amateur dramatic group, offering the opportunity for both experienced performers / backstage crew and newcomers to get involved in a friendly, enthusiastic club. We are always on the look out for people who have the talent, or would like to learn how to do any of the following:     * operate lights and/or sound,     * make scenery,     * organise props,     * costumes     * make-up     * stage manage,     * co-ordinate productions,     * direct,     * get involved on committee     * act, sing and/or dance The club also holds regular social events - in the past these have included play readings, barbeques, treasure hunts, pub evenings, quiz nights and the essential after-show parties! These events are sometimes run as 'fund-raisers' to help with club costs and production fees.
